Selecting a good Wireless Keyboard & Mouse

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to wireless keyboards and mice combos. I'm looking for feedback on experiences people have had in particular related to: distance, quality, & interference(wireless networks). My selection will end up in conference rooms & executive offices where distance (up to 18 feet) and appearance need to be good. Any pointers? TIA Jeff.
