No more hiding in the server room

Social Meetings? Anyone interested in free beer in Cambridge?

Now that this network is going strong, we’ve been thinking about other ways to improve the networking among SysAdmins. One idea is to meet up face-to-face once in a while in a relaxed setting (pub/bar), and provide free beer.

So for those in striking distance of Cambridge (UK), would this appeal? Sorry if you are not nearby – any volunteers to organise one in other cities?

We suggest meeting in a local pub, first two rounds on us. Alternative ideas/suggestions? Post your comments (and hopefully your interest) below.

I'm very interested. Cambridge is a bit of a trip for me, but I'd be happy to help organize a meeting in the NYC area. I don't know it very well yet, but I'd be happy to work with someone who does.

Anyone in the NYC area interested?

Cambridge (UK) and NYC are somewhat out of scope (but I'll count on you when I visit NYC, Matt), but I'd be happy to help organize a meeting in the Aachen area in Germany. I do organize meetings for the local .NET user group in Aachen (Oecher Coder).

Great idea, I am In UAE I guess I am the only one around :(, Although it's open in the future to arrange a meet-up.
