Over on my blog I made a post titled "Red Hat Study Buddy Group – Let’s End 2012 With Style" The general idea is that I'd like to certify what I know of RedHat systems, and want to do it as a year-end goal. I thought others might be interested in that goal as well so I decided to try and start an informal group of people with a common goal.

I needed to have a community fallback in case people wanted to chatter a bit so I thought the SysAdmin Network would be a good place for that. If anyone wants to join the study buddy group, drop a comment on the blog post above. To those that are already a part -- stay strong and slog through the material. What you learn and what you earn will be worth it to face 2013 with. =)

Hello Ahmed! I added your name to the list of people that are going for their Red Hat certification on my blog at this post: http://thenubbyadmin.com/2012/10/05/the-2012-redhat-study-buddy-gro...

Subscribe to my blog and keep track of how the study group goes. It's largely self directed with not a lot of structure, just a place to state your intention and hopefully allow that public statement to motivate you. =)

I'll post about the RedHat study group probably at least once per week. Are you going for the RHCSA or RHCE?

i'm very interested in this certificate , and i would like to go for RHCSA , thank you

Kinda fell off the wagon here due to job change, hoping in 2013 I will achieve RHCSA.

Yeah, I totally did too. I need to write a few more posts about it. I ended up having a huge shift and just... had to let it go. =|

I think we all did.

"Yeah, if you've got the experience in other frameworks or the drive to make web apps it sure makes sense to do so. You only need a subset of Ruby to get started with Rails."
