No more hiding in the server room

I have a website I'm working on, but need to have a EULA designed for the specific usage of the site. People must accept it before using the features. Standard legal blah-blah "Please don't sue me" stuff.  I've seen a few sites that are supposed to make standard software EULAs on the fly and other people just suggest cannibalizing similar EULAs from other websites. I'm not cool with that, since this site is 1) Unique enough to warrant specific verbiage to my site's usage, and 2) I'm dealing with confidential enough things that I don't want to trust my business security to a copy/paste EULA.

I've looked at LegalZoom and some other online lawyer places but can't seem to find services to make a website EULA. Does anyone here have experience in this realm? Where do you go to get a EULA made up? Is there an online place known for dealing in the legal workings of websites and the EULAs that cover them? I'm not comfortable with the advice "just go to a lawyer" since that's like "just going to a doctor" if you need Lasik surgery or "just hiring a musician" if you need some session work done.

Unfortunately the only advice I could give is talk to a lawyer who specialises in Internet Law first. We're lucky at work as our VP is a lawyer, it will help if you make a first draft yourself indicating exactly what it is you're aiming to protect, say and do on your website.

Thats kind of how we generate license agreements and such by drafting it 'normal' language first and then having our lawyer lawyerise it afterwards.

(Yes these are the terms we use at work ;))

Sorry if its not much help.

Nice to have a built-in law department! I kinda miss having an on staff legal council.

I googled for "Internet Law" and found an interesting looking firm in my preliminary research. Then it suddenly hit me! eLance! I'm using eLance to find good providers for some coding and there is also quite a selection of folks who specialize in law there. I figure I can winnow the list down to a few firms that have specific listed competencies in license agreements and terms of service.

Thanks for jumpstarting my brain. =)
