Is the beige box a PBX? The old PBX at my work looked a lot like that. At first I though it might be related to the radio device but it doesn't appear that the cables connect the two devices.

I'm not even sure what this setup is for, but it's near the drive-thru at the Wendy's I work at for a couple more weeks. Whatever it does, I can tell it's quite old.

At a grocery store I worked at, this was their setup that controlled about 10 registers, 5 office computers, and 7 hand-held scanners.

A bit about me....
After 6+ years of working with computers, and 4 years of at-home learning in Linux, Networking and network services, I just recently broke out of the retail sector and into a Tech Support position with a publications company in Gainesville, FL. My fiance, Chrissie, and I are still getting ready to move from the greater Detroit area to the sunshine state, so I start my new position in mid-August.
I'm incredibly excited because for the first time in my life, I'll be doing something I actually care about, instead of doing anything I can for peanuts of a paycheck.
