Great! I've been intrigued by Solaris for a while, especially with ZFS. The oracle deal kinda scared me off from learning it though. =(

I switched long before this particular job. My guess is it was easier to get a req for PA than an SA, at least through HR. Primarily Linux, though I 2ary for Solaris, 3ary for AIX, and help w/ the baseball bats and sledge hammers for IRIX...

Plenty of PAs have switched to SAs. I wonder which direction is most common. I think more programmers turn to SAs than the other way around. What OS are you primarily in charge of watching over? Windows? Linux?
