Yes, I agree that nmap is a great tool for doing port scans.. There are others out there, but none quite as simple and easy to install and use.

Did you take notice of what else in in VMWare Fusion - XP, Solaris 10 w/ZFS, Red Hat, CentOS etc.. With Fusion, a Mac can run just about anything except an ESXi instance... Actually, I thought Winserver 2008 was going to barf... It ran like a top!
