Monitoring folder changes
Has anyone had to watch for changes on some folder and take actions when it happens?
I using incrontab but when a java application creates the folder it doesn't even detected it... and it's a big problem for me.

I have only set up simple applications with inotify but have just written a test in bash and it is detecting directories being created. Are you watching for all events, or at least the CREATE event ?
I can confirm it does work, if you want to post more information I may be able to help out more.
